This is our last Sunday for our Science and Faith sermon series and to end we will focus on Psalm 8:
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars that you have established;
what are human beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them?
It is easy to be in awe of God’s incredible creation, its easy to find wonder in all the works of God and science only helps us find that wonder. Science helps us just begin to understand the infinite complexity and incredible depth of God’s creation. But awe is not the end of this story
Yet you have made humans a little lower than God,
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You have given them dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under their feet,
God has a calling for us to grow in our understanding of creation, to use science and faith together to care for God’s great creation. This is a call we cannot ignore in our time of environmental crisis. It calls us to act.
Grace and Peace,
