First UMC Ignite Worship Leader
Job Description
Ignite Worship is the modern worship service of First United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie. We are looking for a passionate and faithful worship leader to join our community. We worship on Sundays at 11 am. The worship leader will be a leader in our faith community, lead dynamic and passionate worship, and create the strategy and vision for musical worship.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekly 11 a.m. Sunday worship service and weekly music rehearsals.
- Be a leader in our faith community, participate in non-worship planning and fellowship activities when possible.
- Manage and schedule worship team.
Requirements
- Strong lead vocals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage the congregation in worship.
- Keyboard or guitar player is preferred.
- Enthusiasm for modern, contemporary Christian music.
- Committed to be an active disciple of Jesus Christ.
Hours: 4-5 Hours a week (3 hours on Sunday, remaining time is flexible)
Salary: $200-$250 a week (depending on experience)
